Passive and active protection – Sink cabinet
Passive protection
A moisture sensor must be mounted on the insert placed on the bottom of the cabinet and connected to a water alarm or a water fault circuit breaker.
It must also be watertight where pipes and hoses pass through the bottom of the cabinet. This is achieved with seals and gaskets.
Active protection
A water alarm or a water fault circuit breaker with fixed sensors must be installed on the insert.
In this example, we have also placed a floor protector under the sink cabinet. This is required if the cabinet has a recessed bottom.
