WaterFuse- Public Area
WaterFuse-Public Environment Protects against vandalism
WaterFuse Public Area is designed to easily reduce the risk of vandalization leading to water damage. The product has two main functions:
- If the presence detector detects that someone is in the room, the water turns on and the lighting lights up.
- If no presence is indicated, an adjustable delay starts, then the water turns off and the lighting goes off.
Every year there are many toilets and dressing rooms in schools and public premises of vandalization. Water damage is often extensive and the amounts to correct them are high. It may take several months before the premises can be reused. The person who performed the vandalization usually does not understand what costs are incurred. If one finds guilty of vandalization, the person often suffers from damages that are so high that the future economy may be severely affected.
Examples of vandalization that cause water damage
- to put towels in the sink and put on the water
- to break the toilets
A larger water leak can cause several cubic meters of water to pass out every hour.
Presence-based water supply
The product is based on the principle that if there is a presence there is water, not otherwise. This means that if a damage resulting from vandalization occurs, the water automatically turns off when no one is in the space. The extent of damage is thus much less and easier to correct.
The same presence detector used for the water is also used for lighting. This means that the place always has water when the lighting is on and when the lighting goes out, the water is also closed. A positive side effect is that no lighting is unnecessary and energy is saved. Even cranes that are lighted up but which do not cause water damage are switched off.
In the presence detector, the delay time sets the amount of time the water and the lighting will be on after the presence detector no longer raises. The control unit can control up to three motorized ball valves and uses the control signal from the presence detector to activate. The voltage to the control unit is 230vac and out to the 12vdc engine valves. The ball valves are powered by 12VDC via the control unit. They have indicators on whether they are on or off and can also be manually operated. The ball valves only draw power at the motion itself. Two motorized valves are included with the product. If you want a third valve, you can order it separately.
